What do you like about your job? I like that I'm an advocate for YJC and most important for our clients, the youth.
Where did you work before YJC? My last position title was youth substance abuse prevention specialist. Previously, my work background was in marketing, training, and management.
What was your first job? My first job was at a movie theater. I was a concession stand clerk.
What did you learn from your first job? I learned that counting inventory and tallying the totals was not as easy as it looked, and free movies, popcorn, and soda was pretty awesome.
Has your career path gone how you expected? My career path has gone as expected. From as early as my teen years, all I knew is that I wanted to help people, and every job I've ever had I've been able to do that; as a social worker, supervisor, manager, trainer, marketer or sales rep. My many experiences have contributed to my new role at YJC.
Fun Fact: I love almond joy candy bars.
