Amy A. Mosser

Chief transformation Officer

AHIMA

When did you join the YJC Board?

2004, and then again in 2013.

Why did you join the YJC Board?

Having hired and mentored many young people, I sent a blind email to YJC asking if “I could help” in some way. That email turned into a 10‐ year love affair with workforce development and young people. The world of work and barriers for young people has/have drastically changed. YJC sits squarely in the middle, making a difference.

What is your occupation?

Healthcare analytics executive and COO.

What was your first job?

Farm worker: walking/weeding soybean fields, detassling corn, baling hay (middle school through high school)

What did you learn from your first job?

How to get up very early and work outside in extreme heat. How to work safely: machinery, sharp tools, first aid, wild animals. I learned about farming and how hard it is, both financially and physically.
