What do you like about your job?
I love supporting my team in the ways they need, utilizing my creativity in order to improve communications, and tell stories of those we serve and what's happening within the organization.
Where did you work before YJC?
Before YJC, I worked as a barista at a coffee roastery and, still to this day, put myself out there as a freelance photographer.
What was your first job?
I was 12 years old and I worked a paper route.
What did you learn from your first job?
I learned that it's always best to work proactively and efficiently. I often waited until the last hour of the day to get the job done and quickly learned that life is much more enjoyable when I get the tasks at hand done rather than having them hang over my head.
Has your career path gone how you expected?
I feel as though my career path was always a little out of focus. It wasn't until my last years in college that I discovered I wanted to use my creative abilities as a means to tell the stories of individuals, specifically in a nonprofit sector. This job has allowed me to enter into that role and I've been very pleased with where life has taken me.
I have an unreasonable love for Taco Bell.
