2022 board of directors’ annual meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended YJC’s Board of Directors Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 15, 2022.  Meeting in-person for the first since 2019 for this event, YJC’s new Executive Director Lucretzia M. Jamison welcomed the YJC Board of Directors, YJC staff, funders, volunteers, employer partners, community representatives, clients and supporters as we celebrated “The Power of Partnership.”

Lucretzia shared results from our past fiscal year and our shared vision going forward as we celebrate YJC’s 40th Anniversary in 2023. Awards were presented to our departing Board members, Jeff Coney, Amy Mosser, Frank Adams, and Mike Rogers, in recognition for their commitment, leadership, and service to our mission and our clients.  Everywhere Wireless was recognized with a “Power of Partnership” Award, as well as Old Navy and their This Way ONward internship and direct-hire program. Tori Quintana, Old Navy General Manager, spoke to what the program and partnership has meant to her and her colleagues.

To further promote the theme “The Power of Partnership,” the YWCA – Evanston/North Shore allowed us to use their newly renovated space to gather and host our guests, and Curt’s Café provided a continental breakfast enjoyed by all.  We look forward to sharing more updates throughout the upcoming months about our celebrations for our 40th Anniversary, our focus on “The Power of Partnership” for this next fiscal year, and other exciting updates and announcements.

Thank you to Old Navy and This Way ONward, Everywhere Wireless, our Board of Directors, our volunteers, staff, supporters, funders and other stakeholders who make this all possible.
