Transportation & Location

The event is at Mayne Stage, 1328 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL 60626. We will have limited valet service available on a first-come, first-serve basis for $10 per car. The venue is located right by the Morse Red Line “L” stop. The area also has free and metered street parking, the earlier you come, the more availability there is. The meters run until 10pm and are $2 per hour. Since the venue is much closer this year, we recommend using car services like Uber or Lyft since they are around the same price as metered parking or valet.

General Admission & Registration

Doors will open to the public at 6pm. Staff and volunteers will be in place if people arrive earlier but this is the published start time and when the main bar and hors d’oeuvres will be available. There will be a coat check available at no cost and the registration table will be located in the front lobby. We will have guest names and contact information and provide guests with paddle numbers to use during the raffle and paddle raiser. If we do not have guest names, you can send them to me by 10am to be included on printed lists. Otherwise, they will be under the guest name of the Board member, sponsor, organization, or guest who registered them. We will ask for contact information if we do not have already and/or confirm information on file is up-to-date and accurate. We will need a working phone number or e-mail address for each guest. If there are any issues after the event with processing payments, this allows us to reach them. We can accommodate a limited number of walk-ins or unregistered guests. If a guest or sponsor has not paid for their ticket in advance, they can pay there or make arrangements for post-event.

Guests will each receive a paddle number that they can use throughout the night to participate in our raffle or make a donation. Families or couples will each receive a paddle number and can choose to use one or multiple bid numbers. We do ask guests to remember their numbers throughout the event. Guests can preregister a credit card to streamline the checkout process. If a guest preregisters a credit card, they do not need to check out. We will charge the card on file after the event is over to reflect any donations or raffle purchases throughout the night. We will send a detailed and itemized thank you letter post-event with any and all charges and information about tax deductions as long as we have home address and/or e-mail address on file. If a guest preregisters, they can still choose to pay with an alternate method and the credit card will not be run. We will accept cash and check as well.

Food & Beverage

Starting at 6pm we will have an impressive array of passed and plated hors d’oeuvres with buffet stations opening at 6:30pm. There will be open bars with an array of beer, wine, spirits, mixers, soft drinks, and signature drinks. Following the program there will be coffee service and desserts will be available.

Program

The program will begin around 7pm and last approximately 30 minutes. We will have a video featuring the Emerging Leaders group and a paddle raiser, along with celebrations and recognition of our many accomplishments, hard-working staff and community partners, and other dedicated stakeholders. Following conclusion of the program, the main floor will be available for dancing.

Attire

Recommended attire for the event is business casual since many guests will be attending after work, but if you would like to dress in period attire we greatly encourage it.

We will have more information available at the venue but want to make sure some of the logistics are presented clearly and freely to you and your guests. We cannot wait to see you all there!

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Development Department at development@youthjobcenter.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can with the information you need to the best of our abilities.

Best,
