Workforce Readiness Training
To thrive in a job—no matter what your position is, what field you work in, or what company you work for—you’ll need strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of workplace etiquette. Not sure about those? That’s what workforce readiness training is for!
Our three-hour training will cover all the basics and help you increase your confidence in your ability to succeed in the workplace. Topics you’ll learn about include:
Resume-building
Interviewing tips
Building your LinkedIn account
Financial planning
The importance of networking
Volunteering
Thank-you emails
How to apply transferrable skills to your interviewing
Choosing the right professional references
Using Zoom and its features
You’ll leave workforce readiness training with an updated resume and the confidence to find and keep a job. On the last day of training, you’ll get to put your new knowledge into action in two mock interviews.
The Details:
Time: Scheduled Mondays to Fridays from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Where: The comfort of your home / via Zoom
Note: On-camera participation is an important part of this training—engaging with the facilitator, volunteers, and your fellow trainees will help you get the most out of the experience!
