Youth Job Center Privacy Policy for Clients

Youth Job Center is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients' personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how Youth Job Center, Inc. (“Youth Job Center”, “us”, or “we”) collect, use, share, and secure the information you provide when interacting with our websites, emails we send, social media accounts, and client services (collectively, the “Services”). 

Please refer to this Privacy Policy regularly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when the Privacy Policy was last revised. In addition to changes on the website, we may also notify you of significant changes through other communication channels.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us and requirements for specific programs, we may collect information as follows: 

  • Personal details: Name and preferred Name, contact information (email, phone numbers, emergency contact name and phone number), address, date of birth, and demographic information needed for service delivery. Some of the information may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in certain jurisdictions, for example, your racial or ethnic origins, LGBTQ+ identification, and criminal justice system involvement. 

  • Service-related information: Details regarding your needs, case management notes, program participation records, attendance logs, and any relevant communication with our staff. 

  • Education and Employment: Details of your current and past employment, education, and training, including employer, role and responsibilities, hours and rate of pay, dates of employment, termination, training institution, enrollment dates, and certifications. 

  • Financial information: If you engage with our Financial Coaching Services we will gather details regarding your income, account balances, and credit rating. The information collected will not include any account numbers or account access details. 

  • Site Usage Information: Technical browsing or other information from visiting our site, including IP addresses, preferences, web pages you visited prior to coming to our site, information about your browser, network, or device (such as browser type and version, operating system, internet service provider, preference settings, unique device IDs and language and other regional settings) and information about how you interact with our site (such as timestamps, clicks, scrolling, browsing times, searches, transactions, referral pages, load times, and problems you may encounter, such as loading errors). If you’re visiting our site via mobile phone, Site Usage Information could also include your precise location information if your mobile device settings authorize us to collect this information.

  • Complete our initial interest form at youthjobcenter.org 

  • Sign up for and receive services at Youth Job Center 

  • Engage with us in other related ways, including at events

  • Collaborating organizations: In certain situations, we may share limited information with collaborating organizations where necessary to coordinate your care or provide related services, with your consent where required. 

  • Compliance with legal requirements: We may disclose information as required by law or court order to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights, defend against legal claims or demands, and detect, investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the rights, property, or personal safety of any person. 

Please note that Youth Job Center will not sell your information.
