Youth Job Center Privacy Policy for Volunteers

Youth Job Center is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients' personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how Youth Job Center, Inc. (“Youth Job Center”, “us”, or “we”) collect, use, share, and secure the information you provide when interacting with our websites, emails we send, social media accounts, and client services (collectively, the “Services”). 

Please refer to this Privacy Policy regularly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when the Privacy Policy was last revised. In addition to changes on the website, we may also notify you of significant changes through other communication channels.  

 

Information We Collect: 

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us and requirements for specific programs, we may collect information as follows: 

  • Personal details: Name and contact information (email, phone numbers), and address. Emergency contact name and contact information (email, phone number). Personal reference name, contact information (email, phone number), and relationship. 

  • Education and Employment: Your highest level of education, institution attended and major, your current employer and role. We may also collect information about your prior volunteering experience (organization, activities). 

  • Volunteering information: During your volunteer activity, we will collect information regarding the event, client, location, timing, and activities you assisted with. 

When We Collect this information: 

We collect personal information when you:  

  • Complete our volunteer interest form at youthjobcenter.org 

  • Complete our volunteer application process, and during onboarding 

  • Engage with us as a volunteer, including at events and meeting with clients 

 

Use of Your Personal Information: 

We may use your information for any of the following purposes: 

  • To improve our services: We may use your information to coordinate volunteering activities, and for data analysis and quality improvement. 

  • Communications and fundraising: We may contact you using your personal contact information regarding giving opportunities and to share YJC newsletters. 

  • Reporting to funders: In anonymized summary data, when communicating with funders regarding our volunteer programs.  

 

Sharing Your Information: 

We may share your information as follows: 

  • Third-party service providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our programs, such as data processing services, and technology providers. 

  • Compliance with legal requirements: We may disclose information as required by law or court order to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights, defend against legal claims or demands, and detect, investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the rights, property, or personal safety of any person. 

Please note that Youth Job Center will not sell your information.
