Janeli connected with Youth Job Center through a counselor from her alma mater, Hubbard High School. She thought about attending college, but wasn't quite sure if it was the best fit for her. Janeli stuck with her childhood dream of working with cars and enrolled in YJC’s Automotive 101 Training Program with Olive-Harvey College.

Her love for cars started at a young age, through movies like Fast and Furious, which helped spark her interest. Her favorite aspect of the automotive field is detailing a car, she loves how the process can beautify a vehicle internally and externally.

Janeli prides herself on being level-headed, and her passion for cars motivates her every day. She currently works in an auto shop, running emissions tests for vehicles. Through our training program, she is excited to learn more about automotive maintenance and technology. Despite working in a male-dominated field, she keeps her composure and remains confident in her abilities Janeli is determined to use her knowledge, skills, and passion to open an automotive shop of her own.
