Meet Johnnae, who joined the Chicago Food Stop team in December 2022, as a Guest Experience Specialist. At the Food Stop, Johnnae is able to perfect her customer service skills as she engages with customers, informs them about products, and assists them with their purchases.

Johnnae took full advantage of the resources Youth Job Center offers, excelling in Workforce Readiness Training, especially our workshops on communication and time management. It didn’t take long for the Chicago Food Stop staff to realize that Johnnae has great professional skills and is a natural born leader

As Johnnae’s paid work experience as a Guest Experience Specialist comes to a close, she has been chosen to move up to the position of Program Manager, where she’ll be able to help guide and oversee the next cohort of Guest Experience Specialists. She is excited to pass on her knowledge and expertise to this new group, and continue in her own professional development.
