POSITION: Patient Care Technician (PCT) TRAINING PROVIDER: Patient Care Technician program, Tukiendorf Training Institute

Deja is a 24-year-old Patient Care Technician (PCT) from the west side of Chicago. She is very dedicated and passionate about her community and providing care to folks around Chicago. Deja enrolled with YJC to follow her passion for healthcare, which led her to start a Patient Care Technician program with Tukiendorf Training Institute. Her long-term goal is to become a Registered Nurse to continue to give back to her community.

While completing her 9-month PCT program, Deja always kept a very essential motto with her—"Go for the career that makes you happy, and never let part-time fear stop your long-time happiness.” Deja did not take this opportunity lightly and believed that it’s possible to accomplish your goals and define success for yourself.

Deja leaves us with some motivating words, “To anyone that would like to enroll in YJC, I would say that this is the place to be for assistance, guidance, job preparation, and support with gaining employment.”
