When did you join the YJC Board?
1998
Why did you join the YJC Board?
I have been fortunate to get so much help in my career from mentors and other advisors; YJC has been an opportunity for me to pay it back in a meaningful way. Finding that first job can be a life changing event for many.
What is your occupation?
Retired. Work included 18 years at Northwestern in technology and 14 years as a software entrepreneur.
What was your first job?
I was 12 years old; I sold taffy apples and popcorn at high school football games.
What did you learn from your first job?
I got paid on commission, so I learned you have to hustle to make money. That lesson has been invaluable to me.
