Looking to jumpstart your career in information technology (I.T.)?
Youth Job Center can help in two ways. If you sign up with us, we can:
Enroll you in a free JavaScript certificate program at i.c. stars (more on that below)
Help cover tuition for the I.T. training program of your choice
If you opt for the JavaScript program, you’ll have access to a beginner-friendly twelve-week course consisting of two 2.5-hour virtual sessions per week. By the end of the course, you’ll have earned an industry-recognized JavaScript certificate and completed a final project: an e-commerce app. You and your classmates may also get to go on an industry-related field trip and connect with I.T. professionals.
If you have another I.T. training program in mind, we may be able to help you apply for, enroll in, and pay for the program as well as supporting you along the way.
Requirements for enrolling:
Be between 18-24 years old OR a rising high school senior
Be legally eligible to work in the United States
You’ll get:
A JavaScript Fundamentals certification
Expert instruction from a professional software developer
A loaner laptop you’re free to use for the duration of the course
“The program has given me a stronger sense of direction in my career by helping me identify and refine my skills while aligning them with market demands. I’ve also gained a renewed sense of self-assurance in my abilities to navigate professional challenges and seize new opportunities.”
