What do you like about your job?

This role will allow me to be a problem solver and find solutions. I love working with young adults, and I’m excited to help them navigate a big part of adulthood by finding employment & certifications they enjoy!

Where did you work before YJC?

I worked at Healthy Hood Chicago as a Studio Manager and Urban Growers Collective as a Youth Instructor.

What was your first job?

McDonalds.

What did you learn from your first job?

The importance of having fun while you work! 😊

Has your career path gone how you expected?

Not really, I thought my career path would be linear and clear. I spent a few years trying to figure out exactly which direction I wanted to go. Which meant I had to be open to working in different settings/ fields to get a better understanding of what I really wanted to do. Even though it hasn’t been linear, my path has been beneficial!

Fun fact:

I spend a lot of my time gardening & being outdoors!
