What do you like about your job?

I love working with young people, collaborating with an inspired and engaged team, helping young people go after their dreams, and helping young people to achieve financial freedom and success.

Illinois Student Assistance Commission

What was your first job?

Taking orders, serving food, and washing dishes at a small café.

What did you learn from your first job?

I learned that a lot of what you have to learn for a job is shown rather than told, and I learned to ask questions sooner rather than later when you don’t understand something.

Has your career path gone how you expected?

To a large extent, yes. I have always had a lot of ambitions, and this role and this work definitely fits into that picture.

Fun fact:

One of my favorite hikes I ever went on was with my mom, and we hiked right up to a glacier.
