What do you like about your job?

I love being able to help communities like mine in a way that is so crucial to their success. Coming from an educator background, I am fascinated by the ways youth development can improve society.

Where did you work before YJC?

I worked as a Fifth and Sixth Grade English Teacher at CICS Avalon!

What was your first job?

My first job was cutting down trees in the forests of northern Michigan, as well as splitting them.

What did you learn from your first job?

If you need help, just ask for it. There's no bonus points for struggling.

Has your career path gone how you expected?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. I never thought I'd be working with youth at all, much less spending almost my entire career in youth development. And I couldn't be loving it more!

I’m a history aficionado, speak multiple languages, and have a houseful of pets!
