What do you like about your job?
I love working with a diverse team, with so many different backgrounds and experiences.
Where did you work before YJC?
I worked as a software developer for a large corporation.
What was your first job?
My first job was a temporary holiday position sorting mail for the UK postal service. I found it boring, but because I did a good job they put me on a delivery round the following year, which was great fun!
What did you learn from your first job?
Before you leave a job that isn’t ideal, think about the opportunities that may open up if you stick with it.
Has your career path gone how you expected?
Not at all. It took me a long-time to figure out what I wanted to do, and it wasn’t until my late twenties that I got my first job as a software developer.
Fun Fact
I love to take photographs at the lakefront, including during the winter and at night; I have taken over 1,000 pictures of Chicago’s last publicly owned mansion on the lakefront.
