What do you like about your job?

I love the opportunity to work with our donors, Board members, community partners, and other supporters to raise funds and awareness for YJC, our mission, and our youth.

Where did you work before YJC?

I have worked for nonprofits in Chicago and north suburbs for the past 10 years in fundraising, marketing and communications, and volunteer administration.

What was your first job?

My first job was working for State Farm Insurance as a summer job in high school.  Now I see my first boss’s face everyday on a billboard on the way to work.

Has your career path gone how you expected?

My career path has taken me in an unexpected, but very rewarding, trajectory. I studied German and history in college but ended up in real estate for my first “real” job. After the recession, I was able to jumpstart my career in nonprofit administration and ended up finding my vocation and purpose.

Fun fact:

Gilligan’s Island is my favorite TV show. I used to have all 99 episodes saved on my DVR.
